This Wednesday, May 22, in the national celebration of Tree Day, REPSA carried out a reforestation day with more than 100 students from different communities in Sayaxché, Petén. The Agro-Environmental Field School received students from the El Pato, La Ceiba and Mirador communities to carry out different topics around raising awareness of the importance of trees for the environment. In addition to an informative video, each student exhibited drawings and works commemorating the tree and the important work they have in our ecosystem. Subsequently, the reforestation activity proceeded where each participant had the opportunity to learn the procedure to transplant the trees in the final place of growth and the care that must be observed so that the tree can develop. Environmental awareness and care activities are of vital importance for REPSA since they adhere to all the actions it implements in its operations in respect of the environment. At REPSA we work to generate economic, social and environmental value for Guatemala.
