El Triunfo obtains RSPO certification for sustainable palm oil production
At el Triunfo S.A., a HAME Group company, we are proud to obtain the Certification of the Round Table on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), for complying with the 8 criteria and principles for sustainable oil production palm, one of the commitments established in our Sustainability Policy. This recognition supports that in our operation we produce quality and sustainable palm oil, adopting the best practices and technologies, and responsibly managing natural resources; in addition to maintaining open communication and joint work with the communities in our areas of influence, promoting local development by generating shared value. Compliance with the criteria and principles required by the RSPO Certification was achieved through the great work carried out by the El Triunfo S.A. team, therefore, diplomas of recognition were delivered to the collaborators of this operation, urging them to continue forward and to work being responsible, accomplished, persevering and leaders, in accordance with HAME behaviors. The recognition event was attended by Hugo Molina, Agricultural Director of Grupo HAME, and Gilberto Yarza, Business Management Manager. The RSPO Certification is a very important achievement for El Triunfo and now that we have obtained it, we must maintain it, Molina told the collaborators. What is the RSPO and how does it support sustainable palm oil production? The Sustainable Palm Oil Roundtable is a non-profit organization that unites stakeholders from all 7 sectors of the palm oil industry, to develop and implement global standards for sustainable palm oil. The 8 criteria and principles that the RSPO has developed are related to Environmental aspects Social aspects If companies comply with them, as we do at el Triunfo S.A., it is certified that they produce sustainable palm oil. "RSPO certification is a commitment to sustainability. Obtaining it was a path of many challenges that we knew how to assume with responsibility and teamwork, in accordance with a process of continuous improvement in which our values and behaviors mark success," said Yarza.
